Remo groups achieved a grand slam at the DCI World Championships this August, winning gold across all four classes at the finals in Indiana
World Class Championship Highlights
Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps won their first DCI World Championship on August 9, 2025. Led by Corps Director Chris Holland and Percussion Director
Colin McNutt, Iain Moyer, Jason Ihnat, Alex Beltran, and Zach Schlicher, the Boston Crusaders Percussion Caption won the Fred Sanford Award for Best Percussion Performance with a perfect score of 20 out of 20.
Santa Clara Vanguard (Gio Bastante, Paul Rennick, Sandi Rennick, and K.J. Stafford) won the Bronze Medal with a strong third place showing, including third place in Percussion, only two years after emerging from a one-year hiatus.
Phantom Regiment Drum And Bugle Corps (Todd Snead, Jesus Sanchez, Rob Ferguson) once again made the top six and received the “Fan Favorite” vote for the fifth year in a row. The corps also holds the record for the longest continuous streak of DCI Finals appearances, marking their fiftieth.
Mandarins Drum And Bugle Corps (J.W. Koester, John Mapes, Ian Grom, Connor Yasuda, Joey Martinez) made another top seven showing, marking their sixth consecutive Finals appearance.
Blue Stars Drum And Bugle Corps (Brad Furlano and Greg Power) moved up one position from semi-finals, finishing in eighth place for the second year in a row.
The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps (Daniel Belcher, Bret Kuhn, Josh Brickey, Tom Aungst, Kevin Kenney) finished in ninth place, with the percussion section moving up to an impressive fifth place ranking.
The Troopers Drum & Bugle Corps (Michael Gough, Lauren Teel, David Cavazos), once again finished strongly in tenth place with Percussion earning seventh place.
The Colts Drum & Bugle Corps (Vicki MacFarlane and Josh Nelson) finished in eleventh place, asserting their consistency as a top twelve corps for the fourth year in a row.

Open Class & All-Age Champions
Congratulations to the Spartans Drum & Bugle Corps (Paul LaFlamme, Jr., Brian Spencer, Kelson Lorenz, Samantha Logan) on winning the Open Class Championship for a record third year in a row. Gold Drum and Bugle Corps won the silver medal, improving on last year’s bronze medal finish and finishing in the top three for the sixth consecutive year.
Congratulations to the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps (Rich Strang and Travis Peterman) on winning the DCI All-Age World Class Championship for the second year in a row, including high percussion. The Hawthorne Caballeros Drum And Bugle Corps and Bushwackers Drum & Bugle Corps finished second and third, respectively.
International Class Victory
In the international class, The Calgary Stampede Show Band won the gold medal among five international groups.
