Gold Drum and Bugle Corps was founded in Hawthorne, CA in 2005 by Executive Director Donald Flaherty, Ed.D. The group was formed to expose local students and young adults to a positive youth activity. The corps relocated to Oceanside, CA in 2010 in order to expand its service to the entire Southern California region. Since then the corps has taken several trips out of state, with performances in Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Ohio, Utah and Wisconsin.

Gold has performed at numerous cities and venues across North America. Recent performances have been at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN and Invesco Field in Denver, CO. The corps has also performed at countless venues throughout Southern California including Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and Universal Studios.
