Albe Bonacci is a studio/performing drummer and educator in Los Angeles. He is a graduate of Percussion Institute of Technology (PIT) in Hollywood, CA, and The Drummer’s Collective in New York. Albe has studied privately with Kim Plainfield, Ralph Humphrey, Joey Heredia, Steve Houghton, and Gregg Bissonette.

Albe has made his career working for scores of independent artists but has also recorded with studio legends Larry Hart, Desmond Child, Diane Warren, and Jack Segal. He has performed for television, stage, live radio, and in film.

Albe has authored articles for Modern Drummer and Percussive Notes magazines and most recently DW’s Edge magazine. Albe has held clinics for Sam Ash and Musician’s Friend music stores, the Nashville Percussion Institute, the Hollywood Custom and Vintage Drum shows and the 2008 PASIC convention in Austin TX. In his clinics Albe covers various topics including technique, styles, reading, soloing, tuning and feel.

Albe is now a faculty member at Musician’s Institute conducting live playing workshops, contemporary drum set and jazz classes, counseling in tuning and private lessons.
