Skid Row is an area of approximately 50 square blocks located just east of downtown Los Angeles. Also known as Central City East, the area has a longstanding history as a residential neighborhood for those with the least.
Skid Row Housing Trust provides permanent supportive housing so that people who have experienced homelessness, prolonged extreme poverty, poor health, disabilities, mental illness and/or addiction can lead safe, stable lives in wellness.
Established in 1995, the SRHT Property Management Company was formed to provide well run homes that would also meet the needs of formerly homeless men and women. The Trust provides a unique model where property management staff collaborate with supportive services staff to work together toward the common goal of resident housing stability.
Watch as the head of REMO's Rhythm & Wellness Division, Arianna Monge, MT-BC leads SRHT Staff through a virtual Rhythm, Wellness & You Online Drum Circle.
In accordance to the state of California's reopening guidelines, REMO has joined Skid Row Housing Trust in providing a LIVE, in-person, Rhythm, Wellness & You cohort for their residents. Adapted from REMO's HealthRhythm's protocol, the program is designed to engage and support community members while achieving wellness through sound.
