Samuel Liu is the Founding Facilitator of drumIN Canada and Studio Director of Perfect Harmony Music Studio in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Originally from Hong Kong, Samuel moved to Ontario, Canada during his teenage years, where his journey of blending culture, creativity, and community began.

Before discovering his true passion for rhythm and group facilitation, Samuel built a professional foundation in finance and accounting, a path that equipped him with valuable organizational and leadership skills he now brings into his musical work. Today, he channels that same dedication into creating spaces of connection and expression through music.

A certified teacher of the Yamaha Music Education System and a classical piano instructor, Samuel is also a trained HealthRHYTHMS facilitator and trainer-assistant, a certified Rhythm2Recovery and Beat the Odds® facilitator, and an accredited facilitator of the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild.

He has completed multiple trainings with Village Music Circles and

graduated from Arthur Hull’s Masterclass in March 2025. Samuel facilitates rhythmic experiences for conferences, corporations, schools, community groups, and major events across the Greater Toronto Area. He also hosts monthly community drum circles in Mississauga, Ontario, continuously inspiring others to use rhythm to build, support, and uplift their communities.

In 2023, Samuel received the Mississauga Arts Council’s Project MicroGrant and is featured in the upcoming (2025) Canadian documentary Talking Drum, which follows three artists using drumming as a tool for connection, empowerment, and inclusion.
