Ralph Alexander

North Carolina native Ralph Alexander started playing the drums after listening to Led Zeppelin’s legendary live album “How the West Was Won.” Bonham’s monstrous drum sound had a profound impact on the 13 year old Ralph and inspired him to pursue a career being a professional drummer.

In 2010, after competing among six thousand musicians worldwide, Ralph won a full ride scholarship to the Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, California. After graduating he has lived in both Los Angeles and Nashville, touring and recording with a wide variety of artists. These include CRX (feat. Nick Valensi of The Strokes) and The Dose (an experimental two-piece band that featured Ralph performing both bass and drums simultaneously via a Moog Taurus III augmented to his kit).

Performance credits also include: Jimmy Kimmel, James Corden, MTV, Good Morning America, NXT (WWE) and, most recently, the Grammy’s with his main gig and nominated artist, Poppy.

Currently, Ralph is preparing for a world tour with Poppy in support of her latest release, “Flux”, produced by Justin Meldal-Johnsen (Beck, St. Vincent, NIN).

"Ever since I started playing the drums, I’ve played Remo. From the very beginning I could always tell the difference between Remo’s quality, sound, durability and innovation compared to every other company.  I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to play and promote all of my favorite companies so far and I'm honored to do the same with the best drum heads on the planet.  -Ralph Alexander
