Laura Cerrano is the founder of Healing Drum Circles and Feng Shui Manhattan. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and Art Education, is a Certified Feng Shui Reiki Master/Teacher, Certified Geopathic Stress Dowser and Sound Healer.

Laura has over 25 years experience presenting and facilitating many different types of classes and programs that branch from her various professions. Her enthusiasm for drumming blossoms from helping children, adults and seniors connect with their inner musician and enhance their overall well-being and social emotional development while co-creating fun rhythmic beats and melodies. Laura became a certified drum circle facilitator through the Center for Advancement of Therapeutic Arts, Music for People® and Rhythm2Recovery facilitator and leadership programs.

All drum circle programs are tailored to diverse demographics, including schools, universities, youth community centers, libraries, camps, corporations, bereavement care centers, senior care facilities for those navigating Dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and their caretakers.

When Laura is not facilitating drum circles, you’ll find her playing percussion for a variety of Long Island, Brooklyn and New York City-based bands. These bands include “The Dee Harris Project” (jazz improv) ~ “Raga 2” (India-inspired rhythms and melodies) ~ “Shaman” (North India/Middle Eastern with American blues), “Jack Licitra's, The Waterfall” (pop-cover band), “Island Samba” (Brazilian samba), “Throughline“ (blues fused with bohemian grooves), and Dan Strauss - soothing eclectic experimental sounds
