Jonathan Murray; professional presenter, organizer and teacher. Jonathan delivers highly successful, interactive, rhythm-based programs designed to actualize teambuilding, enhance morale and experientially deliver metaphoric learning. Jonathan’s workplace programs have been utilized by corporate, non-profit and governmental institutions including: Johnson and Johnson, Constellation Energy, Adventist Health Care, University of Maryland, among many others. Using a creative approach and accessible technology, Jonathan’s participants are engaged in experiential exercises that are designed to imbed learning within a fun, uplifting format. Jonathan has extensive international and cross-cultural experience which he has packaged into professional programs that reference organizational dynamics from a community model. When institutions are operated with an understanding of organizational community culture, these collectives can achieve higher levels of sustained performance and reduced attrition. Jonathan uses his experience studying, playing and teaching world percussion as the foundation for imparting the model of organizational community. By empowering all participants with the ability to explore, play and create successful, spontaneous music, Jonathan enables the group to collectively experience the institutional community model through rhythm. As an endorsed facilitator by REMO Inc., the world’s largest drum head manufacturer, Jonathan has represented the company by presenting at professional trade shows and professional conferences including AARP’s Senior Expo and Generations United. In prior experience in corporate facilitation working for Catalyst Events Jonathan worked with Delta Airlines, Boston Consulting, Assurant and the Internal Revenue Service. Jonathan’s Master’s Degree in Intercultural and International Management was awarded for his work and (Gates Foundation funded) research on social product production in Nepal, a country where he had formerly spent 2 years as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Training in facilitation of rhythm-based events was taken through years of study with Arthur Hull and Village Music Circles. He has applied his training and experience into creating high-quality, accessible programs for facilitating corporate community building.
