Colorado native Brandon Barnes is best known as the drummer for the Chicago-based rock band Rise Against. Brandon studied music in college and played drums in the University of Colorado music program. He knew then he wanted to make music his career and way of life. By listening to his favorite drummers such as Elvin Jones, Tony Williams, Terry Bozzio, Peter Erskine, Brandon developed the style of playing he has used in various bands over the years. Rise Against currently tours 8 to 9 months a year all over the world. Brandon has played on all Rise Against records and tours over the past 20+ years and are is gearing up for another.
