Rhythm ambassador, Arthur Hull, travels the world inspiring community-building through the metaphor of music. A protégé of Babatunde Olatunji, Arthur originated and defined modern-day Drum Circle Facilitation. His pioneering work has touched the lives of thousands of people, communities from corporate executives to kids at risk. Arthur is known throughout the world as a charismatic, delightful, skillful, and inspirational presenter, group facilitator, and motivational trainer. He has inspired a grass-roots worldwide movement from diverse cultures and backgrounds that uses joyful rhythm expression to improve human interaction. He is a gifted percussionist and a witty and humorous leader who inspires full, enthusiastic participation. In 1980, Arthur founded Village Music Circles™ instructing thousands of students at the University of California, Santa Cruz, while bringing experiential team building and leadership events to organizations internationally. Through his Village Music Circle trainings, he has now taught over 10,000 people in 29 countries how to facilitate rhythm-based events. People from Asia to Europe are tapping into the pulse of team and community-building experiences that motivational music-making inspires. Over ninety percent of REMO-endorsed facilitators have graduated from Arthur’s Drum Circle Facilitation Training. As an endorsee and product developer for REMO Inc., Arthur has designed eight types of drums and has been a frequent drum circle facilitator at the annual Percussive Arts Society conventions, as well as facilitated the LA Basin Community Drum Circle at the annual National Association of Music Merchants Show (NAMM) for twenty years. He has also facilitated the Great Northwestern Community Drum Circle at the Seattle World Rhythm Festival (SWRF) every year for the last 22 years. Arthur has also written four books on drum circle facilitation and rhythm event games.
