One of the busiest drummers on the scene, Adam Weston and his outfit Birds of Tokyo have undoubtedly made a major impact on Australian audiences and the music industry alike. After picking up the sticks and acquiring his first Yamaha kit in 2000, Adam became a determined and consistent studio and live player through various bands based in Perth. Birds of Tokyo broke through with their debut album Day One (2007), followed by Universes (2008), Birds of Tokyo (2010), March Fires (2013) and Brace (2016), picking up a swag of awards with gold and platinum records along the way. A much loved touring act with a dedicated fanbase, Birds of Tokyo have played many major festivals from Big Day Out to Splendour in the Grass, along with appearing at huge sporting events like the AFL Grand Final and Anzac Day matches. A staple of radio with tracks like Lanterns, Plans, Wild At Heart, I'd Go With You Anywhere and Anchor, Birds of Tokyo are still riding high on a wave of success thanks to new singles Unbreakable and Good Lord.
