Through the Artist-Mentor Scheme, music teachers from Blangah Rise Primary School who were classically trained embarked on a 30-hour mentoring project with percussionist Syed Ibrahim, to better equip themselves with skills to play rhythmic pieces of music collaboratively. The teachers also learnt more about facilitating community music making, and how the 21st century competencies could be reinforced through such non-formal music teaching.
