Vuela Música germinated in Murcia (Spain) in 2018, as a joint project of two music therapists, Raquel López (MTAE Nº130) and Laura Fernández (MTAE Nº 131). They are trained in the NMT® (neurological music therapy) model. Currently both are studying a degree in Psychology.
They are Percussion Circle facilitators, and have trained in Madrid with Mary Knish (Music For People), as well as in the R2R model (Rhythm to Recovery).
Since 2021, they have organized the 3-day Training for facilitators in Murcia, with Pau Gimeno.
On a day-to-day basis, the methodology of working as a therapeutic couple makes the ultimate goal more enriching, to improve people's quality of life using music as a tool and means of communication and encounter.
Vuela Música offers music therapy programs and Percussion Circles based on comprehensive person-centered care, for people who live with challenges in the field of disability, mental health, women, or people at risk of social exclusion, as well as for companies or work teams that want to promote aspects such as listening, leadership and cohesion, in community.
Another of his current projects is "Afinando Corazones", consisting of conducting clinical music therapy sessions at the hospital.
