Steven Schob, MM, is a teacher, writer and performer that believes in the power of music, movement, drumming and stories for cultural change. With a masters degree in percussion performance, Steven has over a decade of experience crafting programs for schools and organizations looking for innovative techniques in healthy living, shaping brains, community building, and professional development through music. In 2010, he created his company, Collective Rhythm, that currently provides music services to educational institutions, community groups, and companies.

Steven is a Remo Educational Artist, Young Audiences Performing & Teaching Artist and contractor with educational service districts throughout Oregon and Washington. He directs groups such as the Hough Foundation Youth Escola de Samba, MARACATUpdx and his newly formed Electro-Samba. As an internationally touring performer he has played in England, Scotland, Brazil and Canada with the likes of Michael W. Smith and the Fountain City Brass Band. He currently has two books in the works that will be published in 2016.
