Rob Heath is a touring and studio musician, composer and producer based in Brooklyn, New York where he hosts a residency of experimental, avant-garde and improvised music called "Nice Try, Kid!" and writes and records under the band name Automatic Candy.

As a drummer he's toured or recorded with a diverse array of artists including alternative rock band Marcy Playground, avant-garde guitar master Rainer Jancis, telecaster jazz great Jim Campilongo, country singers Justin Townes Earle and Allison Moorer, and folk heroes Sunny War, Ana Egge, Aaron Lee Tasjan, Brett Dennen, and Jill Sobule. His indie-rock band, the Madison Square Gardeners, made a splash on the American scene with their records and performances and by backing up artists like Ben Kweller, Mike Viola, Gavin DeGraw, Tim Easton and Kevn Kinney.

Rob writes under the band name Automatic Candy and this band performs regularly in and around New York.Notable performances have included CBS Saturday Morning, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, The Conan O'Brien Show, Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble and Budokan sports arena in Tokyo, Japan.
