Phil Lawson is a studio and touring drummer based in Nashville, TN. He is currently out on the road supporting Post Malone. Phil also continues to tour with Kelsea Ballerini and has been an active touring member of Kelsea’s band since 2018. When not on the road Phil focuses on session work and has become a reliable name within the Nashville session scene.
Having been in Nashville for 17+ years, Phil has had the opportunity to perform with numerous artists including, Post Malone, Kelsea Ballerini, Russell Dickerson, Cole Swindell, Lauren Alaina, Walker Hayes, Ryan Hurd, Jerrod Niemann and many more.
Phil moved to Nashville in 2007 to attend Belmont University. While at Belmont, he was able to hone his skills by studying with drumming legends such as Chester Thompson, Zoro, and Derico Watson. Phil continues to build his career in Nashville working with many artists, producers, and song-writers, both in recording studios and in live performances.
