Neil Garthly is the owner of the Academy of Drums, which is considered to be one of the premiere drum schools in the country. Garthly is also the creator and host of a cable TV show, “Drumology”, that airs to over 400,000 viewers in New Jersey and surrounding areas.

Neil prides himself in being a drum set innovator by creating what he calls the “21st Century Drum Set”. He is also an international clinician performing clinics through out the U.S. and Canada. Most recently, Neil has taught and performed at numerous clinics and seminars including KoSA Workshops, The Greater Milwaukee Drum Expo, The Cape Breton Drum Fest, and The Collective in NYC.

Recently, Neil can be seen playing throughout the Northeast USA with Juggling Suns. They are a headlining jam band that has been featured in the movie “Runaway Bride”. Juggling Suns has also performed with guest solo artist Keller Williams and Tim Carbone from Railroad Earth. Neil is a member of the International Percussive Arts Society (PAS), National Association of Musical Merchants (NAMM), and the American Federation of Musicians (AFM).
