Lang Zhao is a Los Angeles–based drummer, producer, composer, and educator whose work bridges world-class musicianship, progressive music, and contemporary drumming.
Zhao has delivered standout performances across several premier industry performance series, collaborative live sessions, and exclusive artist showcases. His career includes performances and tours with acts such as Portrait (supporting Plini), Haken, and Arch Echo, alongside collaborations with acclaimed artists including Mateus Asato, Felix Martin, Yas Nomura, Josh De La Victoria, and Richard Henshall.
As co-founder, drummer, composer, and producer of The Resonance Project, Zhao has released two albums blending progressive metal, jazz, fusion, and classical influences. The project has earned international acclaim from Prog Magazine, DRUMHEAD Magazine, Billboard Japan, The Progspace, and other music publications.
