Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Gerardo started listening to The Beatles and a lot of old jazz, folklore and tango records that his dad had at home. At age 15 his cousin gave him his drum set, the ones he always desired and the ones that he played every time he visited his uncle. Rock and Beatles, were the first love but then he got into fusion and jazz, listening to people like Steve Morse, Weather Report, Madre Atomica, Spinetta, jazz and fusion bands from Argentina, Chick Corea and all his bands, Steve Gadd, Omar Hakim, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Simon Phillips, and many, many more.

In 1989 his band Karma performed in an important Rock Festival in Argentina called Chateau Rock sharing stage with the biggest band in Argentina.

In 1993 with rock band Resonantes recorded the fist cd of the band and performed as support band in a Soda Stereo Concert at Obras Sanitarias Stadium.

Then Rock bands passed by when in 1999 he started playing with guitar placer Lapo Gessaghi with whom he is performing and recording till now a fusion between jazz and rock and rhythms from argentina kind of music. The next year he entered trumpet player and comedian character, "Gillespi" with whom he did TV Shows, Jazz Festivals, Theatres, Stadiums, concerts all over the country and three cds, Live in Gonnet, Es and Bell Ville. This year Gerardo went to Las Vegas with argentinian rock band Inmigrantes and did a workshop for Sony-BMG at the Caesar Palace.

Gerardo is also the Editor of the only drum Magazine in Argentina, Bateristas Al Sur, (www.bateristasalsur.com) and has been so for three years till now living the drumming community all the news and interviews about the heroes of the drumming in Argentina and the world.
