Eric grew up with a deep love for drumming.  Starting in elementary school, Eric pursued honing his craft devoting most of his education to focusing on music; practicing, playing, and performing. Continuing to DePaul University (Chicago) and on to Iowa State University (Ames, IA) along with non-stop gigs, Eric became a professional drum teacher. This led Eric to becoming an integral part of the Guitar Center Company in Chicago where he helped to arrange live performances and clinics by such artists as Billy Cobham, Peter Erskine, Tommy Lee, Virgal Donati and many others.  He built long-lasting relationships, working closely with many professional musicians.

It was while working at Guitar Center that Eric attended an event held by Mickey Hart and Arthur Hull where he was immersed in the power and bliss of a drum circle.  At first being a bit reluctant to attend, Eric was awoken by the giant groove and “got it”.   From there he expanded his love for drumming by learning the art of drum circle facilitation. For over 20 years, Eric has been a Member of the Percussive Arts Society and now sits on the Interactive Drumming Committee.  He is also the current Treasurer for the Drum Circle Facilitator’s Guild.

Eric continues his passion for performing, teaching, and bringing the giant groove to all walks of life.
