Dennis Cotton is a professional drum circle facilitator, elite music educator, session player and accomplished performer. He is the founder of Power of the Drum (www.powerofthedrum.com) which provides rhythm events for corporate team building, health care facilities, community events and youth groups. The New England Region of the American Music Therapy Association (NER-AMTA), Comcast Cable, The Girl Scouts, and Boy Scouts of Connecticut, and the American Cancer Society are among the many organizations that have hosted events with Dennis and Power of the Drum.
Over his 20 plus year career, Dennis has recorded over 35 albums and toured worldwide as a member of the British Blues/Rock group Savoy Brown, as well as Commander Cody, Duke Robillard, and The British Blues All-Stars. Dennis studied Drum Circle facilitation with legendary artist and teacher Arthur Hull, and trained with Dr. Barry Bittman of the Mind, Body Wellness Center to become a REMO Health Rhythms facilitator. Dennis is a member of the American Federation of Musicians, the Drum Circle Facilitators Guild, the Percussive Arts Society and is endorsed by REMO Drums, Promark Drumsticks and Sabian Cymbals. Dennis also teaches a very popular workshop for recreational hand drumming and has a forthcoming book on the subject.
His boundless enthusiasm and endless patience has made him a first call facilitator in the Northeast and has allowed him to bring his love of drumming to many parts of the world.
