The Traditional Kanjira features the authentic sound of the original South Indian Kanjira with enhanced low frequencies and crisp slap tones. The Traditional Kanjira can be tuned easily by inserting a 5/64” hex key (included) into a recessed keyhole and rotating the key in small increments. This enables the player to achieve a low pitch while bending and modulating the drumhead exactly like the original without being affected by changes in climate. The Kanjira fits comfortably in the player’s hand and features a dry tone with short decay. Ideal for traditional Indian musical applications.
