HealthRHYTHMS is an evidence-based protocol that harnesses the power of group drumming to improve health and wellness. Our training program focuses on four core strategies:

- Learning the HealthRHYTHMS protocol and using it as a rhythm prescription for participants.

Arlene de Silva is an experienced HealthRHYTHMS trainer and the Founder/CEO of the Cincinnati Music & Wellness Coalition (CMWC), the nation’s first community-wide, evidence-based recreational music-making wellness coalition. Her work spans healthcare, wellness, education, and music therapy, making her a unique and inspiring guide for this transformative training.

- Do I need to bring anything? No, just bring yourself! Drums, lunch, and all training materials, including a PDF download, will be provided.
- Where can I stay? The training will take place in at the Sound Artist location in Centerport, Long Island with nearby hotels for your convenience.
- Is this program eligible for continuing education credits? Yes, this training provides 15 hours of education in Group Empowerment Drumming, which can be applied towards Continuing Education for music therapists through the Certification Board of Music Therapists (CBMT).
- Do I need to be a musician or clinician to attend? Absolutely not! This training is open to anyone interested in using drumming for wellness.
- Can I bring my own drum? Yes! We welcome personal hand drums and percussion.
- What if I can’t afford the full ticket price? We are committed to making this training accessible to everyone. A tiered ticket system, including a "pay-what-you-can" option, is available for students, interns, or anyone experiencing financial hardship.
