JOE ZIZZO is a drummer & DJ with over 25 years of experience in performing and recording. He’s contributed to numerous records in genres ranging from rock, pop, country, hardcore, metal and dance.
Joe studied at New York’s Drummers Collective and attended the Aaron Copeland School of Music for classical music performance. As drummer of the prominent Long Island hardcore band Skycamefalling, he went on to co-found The Sleeping. From 2003-2012, they released 4 albums, performed on stages around the world, and made numerous TV, video game and radio appearances.
Since relocating to Los Angeles, Joe played drums with Sky Ferreira's upon the release of her debut album “Night Time, My Time”, performing across 6 continents, the Primavera Sound and Pitchfork Music festivals, appearing on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and Late Night with David Letterman, and supporting Vampire Weekend and Miley Cyrus in 2014. This was followed by drumming for Hot Natured in support of their critically-acclaimed debut album, performing to audiences of over 20,000 at the CRSS'D Music Festival and the Coachella Music Festival in 2015.
Joe, in 2016 has begun accompanying Annabel Jones during the release of her debut Ep "Labelle"and is currently working on an upcoming solo record. In addition, he is quite fond of Melmac’s finest export, Alf, and believes that the original Point Break deserves a place in the pantheon of Great Cinema.
