The Cuica Stick package includes a replacement 10” friction rod with a hex nut, washer, and stick. Before assembling, measure the length of the drum to determine how much you will need to trim the stick length. Using sharp scissors, make an even cut to trim the stick cone inch shorter than the drum shell length. You can also use extra-fine sandpaper to even the stick surface. The smoother the surface, the louder and clearer the tones.
