Miguel Hernandez, born in San Cristobal, Venezuela, worshiper of Jesus Christ; has been categorized as one of the best Venezuelan drummers. He has paved his own way, winning over some of the most exponential jazz, pop, latin rock and fusion music in which such artist as Víctor Cuica, Gonzalo Mico, Rafael “El Pollo” Brito, Carlos E. Arellano, Vidrios Rotos, Feeling, Agua de Luna, Carlos “Nene” Quintero, Miguel Delgado Esteves, Ensamble A Contratiempo, Kitimba Jazz, Aldemaro Romero, Jeremy Ledbetter, Pablo Gil, Yordano, Robert Quintero, Carlos Rodriguez y su Jazz Trata, Karina, Don Wilner, Ruem Jazz Trio and Otmaro Ruíz stand out. 

He has and is currently working with Elias Tona Jazz Trío, Eugenia Mendez, Saul Vera, Prisca Davila, CN Global Church Band, Luz Marina & Menage, Deparamo, Lourdes Valentin, Manuel Gamez Jazz Trio, Alonzo Sanoja, The Morillo, HMJ Project, Rolando Grooscors Project, Ranses Colon, Reinaldo Alvarez, Jessi Campo, 6xD Project y Miguel Hernandez Project, among others.

Currently, he is an exclusive artist of Yamah, Sabian, Vic Firth, Remo, Hishaker, Gator Cases, Willy Mayo Instrumentos, Groove Insumos, Airturn, Zukran Musik, Kickport, Cympad, Big Fat Snare Drums, Tycoon Percussion, and Advanced Ears. In 2012, he graduated and received his Bachelors in Biblical Art Musicals with a focus on Instrumental Execution on Drums. In 2013, he launched his first discographic production from MIGUEL HERNANDEZ PROJECT, titled “Afrovenezuelan Jazz Standards”.

He is the first venezuelan drummer to edit a didactic book called “AFROVENEZUELAN RHYTHMS FOR DRUMSET” alongside the talented pianist and producer Hildemaro Alvarez, that shows how to play the different afro-venezuelan rhythms on the drums, dictating Master classes in and out of Venezuela in such countries as Spain, London, Austria, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Czech Republic, USA, Canada, Honduras, Brazil, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Ecuador and Argentina.
