I was born in Fergus Falls, MN on February 12, 1985. I reside in Prior Lake, MN, where I have lived most of my life. Receiving a drum set for my first birthday, drums have been my main passion in life for as long as I can remember.

Going to McNally Smith College of Music for my Bachelors and Masters degrees in Percussion Performance, I have focused on creating my own unique playing style combining elements of progressive metal, funk, Latin, and African elements. Using complex hand and foot patterns, and conceptual ideas such as linear phrasing and poly-rhythmic/poly-metric rhythms; I try to continue to push my own physical limitations daily, and hope that my playing style represents those concepts in a unique and musical way.

I have been teaching drums for 15 years and currently teach at a few schools around the Twin Cities and at my home studio, as well as play in the band Scale The Summit and a progressive metal project called Ideology.
