Raul Rekow and Karl Perazzo at Guitar Center Summerlin

On June 8th Raul Rekow and Karl Perazzo were the featured artists in a Guitar Center Session held at GC’s Summerlin location.  Karl and Raul were in Las Vegas performing a string of dates with Santana at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.  With Monday being a dark night for the Vegas show the duo took the opportunity to treat local percussionists to a night of phenomenal performances and intriguing conversation.

The standing room only audience members were educated not only through performance but also through a good amount of conversation moderated by Glenn Noyes of Guitar Center relating to both the roots of the music as well as the performers themselves.  The evening was packed with amazing performances of Traditional Afro-Cuban rhythms with plenty of audience participation and ended with a star studded jam session of local Las Vegas percussionists which included Remo artist Johnny “Dandy” Rodriguez, Michito Sanchez, David Romero, and Andres Bermudez.

Both Karl Perazzo and Raul Rekow performed using Remo’s new Crimplock Symmetry Skyndeep™ conga heads on their LP congas and Karl also used Remo Clear Ambassadors® on his signature series LP timbales.

Remo would like to thank Karl and Raul, our co-sponsors for the event LP, Sabian and Vater as well as Guitar Center for hosting the vent.
