"UP AND COMING DRUMMER"
Uses Talents to Reach Out in Augusta
Not Gaddy, born Northal Leopold Gaddy in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, is known for his musically soft touch drumming skills along with his impeccable ear for listening to the full ensemble for musical balance. Gaddy is CEO and Artistic Director of IDRUM2U-Academy of Drums and Music Business in Augusta, Georgia. The concept is to offer a diversity of avenues for the musically inclined. IDRUM2U offers drum, voice, piano techniques, Healthrhythms Group Empowerment Drumming, recreational drumming circles, and authentic Afro/Cuban drum rhythm classes for beginners and professionals. Mr. Gaddy also sits on the board of directors of two music publishing companies. MISUNS Music Publishing and Records(ASCAP) and Tribe of Judah Music Publishing (BMI), which offer workshops, lectures to schools, churches, civic organizations, and private community groups seeking knowledge on how to properly enter and make a living in the music industry.
Not Gaddy's strongest attribute is in motivational performance education. As a former instructor of drums at the Holtz Schuler for Boys (Boy's School) in Wurzburg, Germany, Conservatory drum instructor at Augusta College (now Augusta State University) Not believes in the art of study to expand the mind.
Gaddy was awarded an honor of Remo HealthRHYTHMS Endorsement in February 2009. He offers corporate team building workshops in utilizing drums and rhythm as a recreational vehicle and for empowering mutual respect, productive communication and lower stress.
Once noted as a Modern Drummer Magazine "Up and Coming Drummer," Not Gaddy has found the greatest personal satisfaction, not in the numerous awards he has received, but in empowering others with or without any prior musical experience. Not uses the research-based HealthRHYTHMS protocol to help others move beyond their perceived boundaries to discover their unique worth, and their own personal rhythm and creativity. Not also facilitates recreational drum circles which serve the greater Savannah River area in Georgia and his work was featured in the March 12th edition of the Augusta Chronicle.
