Tak has been a professional percussionist since 1987 and was moved to facilitate when he experience a REMO drum circle in Japan in 1997. He has shared his inspiration ever since in many settings especially in the educational world and is currently doing research on the drum circle as applied to the music curriculum with teachers of elementary grad levels.

Tak is a contributing writer for a variety of percussion publications in Japan, a Director of the Drum Circle Facilitator's Association (Japan), leader of the band "El Mojito" (Latin Jazz) and continues to teach private percussion lessons at two professional training schools.
