I have started some drum circles in the Public School to support social, emotional learning. It has been a great start after I just moved here from New York City. I have been working with the sound shapes and do a lot of body percussion as ice breakers which the kids love. The November training really shaped my facilitation skills. While I did drum circles before with emotionally disturbed children in NY,I find the protocol to be very helpful. It is great to see and hear what kids can learn and see their smiles and laughter.Smile
