i always check the box, but it rarely remembers me. so, i always have to sign in.

That could be a function of your browser rather than this site.
Also, it can't remember you once you close your browser or computer.

Every so many days I have to sign back in. It's before my cookies and/or temporary internet files get deleted.

Just a bug with the site. However, it should be able to keep you logged in. I would check to make sure cookies are enabled in your browser of choice.

And if you run spyware scans, they will delete cookies also and you'll have to log back in manually.

my browser used to delete cookies every time i closed it.

so did mine, i set mine to keep cookies from site like remo and myspace so i do not have to relog every other day :D
