Do you specifically want a drum that has been played by a corps, or just one that is of the same model and type?

Craigslist is full of nice corps level snare drums here in the Dallas area. I got a Pearl split shell like Phantom used back in the 90s for $50! He only wanted $75 to start with and it's in great shape. I put new heads on it and it sounds awesome.

But I also see some of the newer Yamaha SFZ models and they are going in the $300 range. Ouch.
