Saw the post for cleaning cymbals, what about the actual drums in the kit. What to use for dusting/polishing???Thanks in advance....

Lacquer finish I use Pledge On wrap ammonia-free Windex and then a spray on car detailing wax. Pain heals. Chicks dig scars. Glory... lasts forever.

A mild cleaning agent to actually clean. Fender guitar polish for polishing.

Some people use car wax on their drum shells. Just on the finish though, not on any "raw" wood. There's a reason that wood is raw in those areas like bearing edges. Just spot test a small spot to make sure it's compatible with your drum's finish. I suggest doing this in an area that isn't too visible. Windex is usually a dependable way to clean the shells and lug casings on your drums. ~Lonnie from billdidit

Windex has always done really well for me....
