Lacquer finish I use Pledge
On wrap ammonia-free Windex and then a spray on car detailing wax.

A mild cleaning agent to actually clean.

Fender guitar polish for polishing.

Some people use car wax on their drum shells. Just on the finish though, not on any "raw" wood. There's a reason that wood is raw in those areas like bearing edges. Just spot test a small spot to make sure it's compatible with your drum's finish. I suggest doing this in an area that isn't too visible.

Windex is usually a dependable way to clean the shells and lug casings on your drums.

Is there usually ammonia in furniture polishes, and does straight furniture polish damage a wrap? I ask because I've recently used it to polish up the white wrap on a vintage drumkit.
