I was hoping you guys could help me out on this, maybe the worth, age, and why WFL is on there. All I know is that it's Ludwig, but it also says WFL on the rear snare holder(Technical term?). I Googled the drum and had little luck. I was able to find the snare system for sale for $100, but I don't know the validity of the price. I have about five pictures total, and I can take more if needed.
Worth more than 50 bucks without a doubt.
WFL stands for William Frederic Ludwig. He and his brother started up together.During the depresion, they were forced to merge with Conn He later split and formed WFL.drums.
Ludwig was later purchased back from Conn and changed the name to Ludwig Drum Co.
I believe your drum is from that transitional period.Great score!
