I just purchased a Tama SLP Vintage steel snare! I changed out the head with a Remo CS coated! OMG what a sound it produces!!!! It definitly has that classic rock sound aka(Bonham). Tama has hit a homerun with this snare and probably this line up of new snare drums, good job Tama dudes! It is also half the price of a Ludwig LM 400. So why am I posting this?, well I am interested in hearing from anyone who may have one and what they think about it. I cant stop playing it!!!!!God I love the way it sounds!!! Gota go play, itz calling me,thanks for looking! Vinman Cool

There's nothing like buying a nice new drum! Congratulations.

I just looked it up, and found that Tama have a demo video on Youtube. I see what you mean about the sound. It looks beautiful as well!

It looks as if the drum has Slingerland-style Sticksaver hoops, which I like a lot.
