well, I really like the Tama too (after trying them out) but it does cost more than some of the kits you listed. Have you looked for used kits around your area?
I've done the same thing, but I wanted big sizes (bigger than what I usually use for my practice kit) that weren't available used near me, so I bought an Epic pro beat (which has arrived, I should go get it on Monday - not having a car to carry drums really is annoying). But one could argue that they are not that much of an upgrade from your Sonor Force (not high grade maple and birch in both of those kits).
