So, i've been preparing to buy a new kit once i get stationed back in america (I've no storage space for one here in japan) and i know what i want - i'm just having such a hard time finding it!!
I've been on the prowl across many musician websites with no luck - just wishing i could stumble upon one that allows me to custom order. But i've had my mind on a 7 piece DW with 22" bass, 14" snare, and 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 toms (I'll worry more about depth later!). These are fairly common, which brings me to the topic - i feel like i'm trying to find the right diamond in a stack of diamonds!! with the "right" diamond being the kit that has suspended 14 and 16" toms.
Has anybody seen these anywhere? I used to find them all the time when i was content with the set i've got - but just like always, when i'm on the search, it's on the run!!
Wishing "rock band" drummers would attempt real drumming to embarrass themselves.

You should be able to find a kit used and add afterwards... Here in Quebec City, there's actually 1 selling for $2400 (22x18 10x8 12x9 14x11 16x13) with hardware! Considering the fact that it's not a big high end market here in Quebec City, I'm sure you could find better prices in the US.
edit: I think that I'd buy that kit if the floor toms weren't suspended and short and if the BD was a 20"... (20 for home and 24 for the practice room, that would be cool)
Gretsh Renown Maple 10, 12, 14 and 16 toms, 22 bass drum, Yamaha, Spaun and Pork Pie snares. DW 9002 and Iron Cobra Powerglide double pedals. Many cymbals, here it is:
