Just switched from Ambi X coated to Ambi Black Suede. ....Best head for me so far. Any pics from the pilot seat out there? (Click the picture to view the original one)

Yeah, unfortunately for all, I DO happen to have one. I'm so bad with any sort of camera. This shot is obviously poor quality, but here it is in all its, um, glory ( ? ) : Mapex Saturn * Paiste Terry Bozzio Single-Ply Coated

Very nice kit! Biased on the cymbals! Love Paiste! Digging the suspended floor toms! Lacquer or Wrap? Anymore Pilot seat pics?

Thanks for the thumbs-up ... And, yeah, I'm partial to Paiste - but I like good sounding cymbals no matter the logo. The finish is a Sparkle Lacquer. I live in dusty Arizona - and the camera picked up the dusty film ( even after I went over everything with a feather-duster before the shots ). That's just life in the desert, though. I've been too lazy to follow-through for the last couple years or so, but I've given some thought to picking up cymbal stand Tom Mount/Adapters and then get a Remote Hat to give some variation in the set-up. Toms would all still be suspended, but that would eliminate the need to carry the Double-Tom stand and the Bass would be fully Virgin with the Bass Tom mounts removed ( My Saturn Up Tom Mount is non-penetrating socket type over the Bass ). I'd end up with the four Toms mounted one each on the cymbal stands. I'd be able to put the ride over the bass and the Hat cymbals almost directly where the smallest Tom is in the picture. Nice drum sets guy's. I always enjoy looking at other peoples drum sets. I would send a picture but have yet to figure out what buttons to push; I'm not a computer spert. LOL!! sherm K.I.S.S. = Keep It Simple System

It just be hard playing on other's kits then since the the drum world is ruled by right-handed drummers. Or are you ambidextrous? Because if you are, that's pretty impressive. ^^^ Nicely done I get a clear, in focus shot once out of every 25 attempts, or thereabouts. My hands shake so, I overcome the automated anti-shake technology. Nevertheless Y'did well with the effects. Mapex Saturn * Paiste Terry Bozzio Single-Ply Coated

Wished I had originally but it did help me with right or left hand leads. ...

tankyoubettymuch..... The "pies" are all Zildjian except for the 16" crash to the right...it's Paiste but has since been replaced by a Z. The hats and ride to the left are cymbals I've had for over 40 years. Pedal is a chrome Iron Cobra. Yes, Gretsch....bought them in 1980...mid '70's maple. The snare is a pre '71 round badge I found behind a store being thrown away. Kick me...beat me....hit me with sticks....

Doesn't quite show everything, but a decent pilot shot. The tom heads have since been switched to coated Vintage A and the snare has a coated Ambassador. I'm going to try a clear Pinstripe on the bass. (Click the picture to view the original one) Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz in Copper Sparkle Zildjian, Dream, and Wuhan cymbals
