I have both sides, the right Cat # GSSMS and the left side GSVMS like the one in your picture but with out the tops. See Website below: http://www.gibraltarhardware.com/?fa=detail&mid=2289&sid=616&cid=31 I used my double Ludwig tom mounts on both sides and a Gibraltar snare basket that I already had in my inventory. Like you said it comes with inserts to accommodate multiple tube sizes. I can use one side or both depending on stage size and use one to four toms as needed. I think you would like it.
