I have a P.D.P. X7 kit, with Evans SST frosted heads and I'm not happy with the sound. I'm considering Remo and Aquarian. I'm an old school dude and I like a darker sound. Iplay Gospel. After watching a few video's the vintage emporer's sound very interesting, any suggestions?

Gospel eh well from my personal experience i have the exact kit and I would recommend you coated emperors and ambassador bottoms but if you wanna go for the vintage emperors go ahead they are pretty sweet and your sound will come out great...as for your kick drum if you are looking for one I'd go for either powerstroke pro or the powerstroke 3 both great choices...for the snare a controlled sound, black X or ambassador X14 Good luck hope this helped not sure you might use these heads maybe someone else on here will give you something different and or better..peace.
