^^Interesting. That's actually one problem I've never had, but for those who do it could prove to be helpful.

Thanks PJ

Is that because you use a drum mat/rug have some other means of maintaining the position of your kit components?

not really that impressive but similar to what I use. I just buy a package of industrial velcro and have a piece attached to the bottom of my pedal. the other piece can go on the bare floor/stage or carpet. Achieves the same result and cheaper..

Yes. I use these rubber "puzzle mats" that interlock. They are approximately 2' by 2', and they stack nicely in the van on top of my bass drum case, or underneath a case if need be.

12 of them gives you enough floor space for any sized kit, and can be configured many different ways to accommodate non-rectangular stage spaces.

EDIT: I bought the ones that are all black on one side, so I just use the black side up and usually it's not even noticeable. Keeps me from sliding, and it protects the floor I'm setting up on. The prices on that link are not what I paid; I got a set of 6 from Sam's for about $15. Two sets and you're good.

Excellent idea -

I used to own an industrial mat - rubber bottom/very low-pile carpet bonded on top. Worked like a charm.

It was being thrown out at work and I brought it in and said, "Hey, someone left this outside ..." The Boss said, "No, I left it for the trash because <forgot the reason>." I told him I could use something like this because <forgot how I justified it> - and it was mine. It was stolen with the drum kit back in the day.

{ Actually, the whole drum kit was stolen; but I was robbed of my Zildjians and my Slingerland Super Sound King Snare drum - the only worthwhile pieces of the kit; something I miss dearly to this day } .

Great review, PJ!

I've wondered about this product for awhile.

Off topic a bit : Are you able to record audio only? Or to get audio only, do you have to strip the audio from the video?

Crazy question, I know Blush

I knew I should have added that! Yes, you CAN turn off the video and only record audio.
