I became a Paiste guy ever since I decided to try out each cymbal in the store and I fell in love with Paiste. 20" ride and 14" hats

Posted by: knightcrawler Posted on: Mar 13, 2012 1:59 PM Yeah, I started to like Paiste a few years ago. Even the PST 5 sounds amazing and I still use one for a crash. I like the ride to as it's not too loud when I ride it on the edge. Meinls are cool, but I tried some at a gig, I think the dark or dry ones, maybe both, and they were horrible! The stick definition and sound wasn't to great. Luckily I brought my usual own (I always bring my own cymbals, snare, sticks, and kick pedal if there's a kit at a gig.) Zildjian will always have a place in my heart. But as far as sound goes, Paiste is really cool. I'm saving up for one of the swiss crashes. Those things sound really cool. Trash and crashy at the same time. | |

Posted by: moneyowen Posted on: Mar 13, 2012 2:03 PM I like all kinds of cymbals. I use the DE's, some Zildjian K's old and new, Constantinople, I have a couple Dream Bliss that I like quite a bit. Not too worried about being a Zildjian guy. I just use whatever. Unless Paiste wants to start paying me or donating gear. The Dark Energy are the bomb | |
